Cloise Cooper

Cloise M. Cooper, age 91, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016. She was born in Holt, Florida on June 20, 1925 to Clarence and Elizabeth Cobb. She was a member of Lakewood Church and Lifepoint Church. Cloise was the first woman postmaster at Eglin AFB and the first at Crestview Post Office where she retired. She loved bowling and card games with friends on Friday nights but her first love was being with her family and going to her grandson Cooper’s ballgames. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend and she will be greatly missed.

            Cloise was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ruth Spann.  She is survived by her daughters, Pam (Joe) Carroll and Carol (Bob) Martin; grandchildren, Jordan (Craig)Swanson, Lauren (Chris)Watts, Taylor Martin and Josh Adams (fiancé), and Cooper Martin; great-grandchildren, Jerzie Swanson, Ryleigh Huckabaa, Colton Watts, Tate Swanson, Asher Watts, and Beau Swanson.

            Funeral service will be held at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 11:00am. A time of visitation will be held at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home at 10:00am until service time.
