Welcome to the memorial page for

Henry (Hank) Clemmons

May 15, 1936 ~ November 23, 2016 (age 80) 80 Years Old

Henry (Hank) Clemmons

Henry Clemmons passed into his eternal home on November 23, 2016. Hank was born to parents, Robert and Margaret Clemmons, in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was raised on a farm and taught the value of hard honest work. He played football for Farragut School and created a host of memories and lists of friends. He was quite the story teller and when he spoke of his youth he made you feel as if you were there with him.

At 18 years of age he joined the Navy for nine years and then finished his twenty year military career in the USAF. Upon his retirement from the Air Force, he embarked on his final career in civil service at Pensacola NAS. After his retirement, he and his wife, Judy, traveled the country in their motor home for several years. Our parents had a zest for life and lived theirs to the fullest.

Hank’s life was all about his family. He was the most loyal, dedicated and loving family man that ever lived. He was a baseball coach to many young men in the area and spent his time coaching his daughter’s softball team throughout their childhoods and became a second dad to many of their childhood friends. He was a kind man and helped many others in his life. He was our ‘Hank of all Trades’ and rescued us in many ways throughout the years. He would listen to us and give us much needed advice to help us grow as individuals.

His true joy came with the births of his grandchildren, each relationship unique in its own way, always to be cherished. He was a man who loved his family with a great passion. Hank was preceded in death by his parents, His brother James Clayton, and his sister Wilma Lee.

He suffered the greatest loss of his life when his wife, Judy passed away in October of 2014. (a loss he never recovered from). The loss of their two canine companions, Wally and Toby, came shortly after the loss of his wife.

He is survived by his three daughters, Teresa Balcerak, Patricia Hollis, and Denise Robbins. Also surviving him are his four grandchildren and their families: Seth (Cortney) Robbins, Brett(Sarah) Balcerak, Amy (Terry) Jones, and Kelly and Chris Atkins. He leaves behind four great-granddaughters, Cadence, Autumn, Evelyn and Azlynn. He leaves two nieces, Grace Ann Miller and Bobbie Houston. His constant and loyal canine companion, Buddy, was with him until the end.

We love you immensely and will miss you for the remainder of our lives but as Kelly said upon his death, the worst day for us but the best day for him. Thankful he is now reunited with Grannie. We were blessed beyond measure with Hank.

Rest in Heaven, Dad. We love you.
