Joseph "Luke" Henderson

Joseph “Luke” Henderson, age 39, longtime resident of Okaloosa County, passed away April 28, 2016, in Fairdale, Kentucky. 

Luke loved the outdoors, and was an avid fisherman.  He was a skilled and talented welder who created many unique works of art with his craft.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Max Henderson, paternal grandparents Clandy Shelton Henderson and Ella Casey Henderson and uncle, Larry Coston Henderson.  Also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sarah Gorum Williams and Paul Washington Williams, an aunt Velma Walker and uncles Branford Sanford and Warren Whittaker.

Luke is survived by his mother, Barbara J. Henderson; his sister, Brandy M. White; nephews, Brandon, Matthew and Jerry Max White; an uncle, James Whittaker; cousins, Chris Henderson, Whitney Henderson, Caleb Henderson, Warren Williams, Terry Williams, Aaron Williams, Alisha Hudson and Jeanise Dubose; aunts and uncles, Rachel Kelley (John), Marvin Williams, (Brenda), Roy Williams (Diane), Marie Sanford, Robert Williams (Margaret), Pauline Foster (Billy), Joyce Parenteau (Dave), Hank Williams, and Roger Williams (Margaret).

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016, at 11AM at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike McVay officiating.  A time of visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home starting at 10 AM.  Burial will be at Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery in Crestview.
