Mary and family,
I am saddened to hear of the death of your beloved. You always boasted to all of us nurses how proud you were that you were married for so many years. We all envied that. I am sorry that I am not near you to give you a great big hug. Just know that you are being thought of and prayed for. May your healing be gracious and your faith remain strong.
Pam

I share your sadness at Steve's passing. I am thankful for seeing Steve and Mary in June at our 50th high school reunion. I enjoyed refreshing our relationship and catching up on recent history. My prayers are with you as you adjust to life without Steve. May God comfort and guide you each day.

I'm so saddened by Steve's passing. My heartfelt sympathies go out to his entire family. Steve and I grew up together (our homes were two apart) in Newark, Delaware. We were neighbors and classmates all through school and just all celebrated our 50th High School Reunion this summer. It was great to see him again and, although I'm very sorry about his passing, it was wonderful that more than 100 of us could be together. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all. RIP, old friend.

Mary and Family,
Nancy and I are so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. We are so glad that the two of you were able to make it up to the Reunion and saddened that we didn't get to spend more time with you. Steve will be remembered fondly by his classmates and will be missed by his friends. We're proud that we were both. Should you wish to come up here to the old hometown any time, please know that we would be delighted to see you.

Steve and I shared a great friendship. I first met Steve in 1992 when we worked in the CHAMPUS Office at Eglin AFB. He was so proud of his military and civil service careers. We enjoyed our golfing ventures these past two years and he improved my game in so many ways. I will miss Steve so much. My condolences to Mary, Daniel, Steven, Michael and all the grandchildren.

It saddens us deeply to learn of Steve's passing. Steve was a friend, a brother in arms, and a true patriot. Steve will be greatly missed, talked of often, and remembered always. Fairways and greens my brother, you have arrived at the first tee of a heavenly round.

I was so sorry to hear about Steve. I had the honor of watching him make his "HOLE IN ONE" At Eglin AFB. I only had the privilege of knowing Steve for about a year and a half and have never seen anyone who loved golf like he did. My Grand-daughter and I have the honor of visiting his home and meeting his wife and seeing the horses.
God Bless and console his family during this very difficult time. Time will lessen the hurt.

I knew Steve a little over two years and thoroughly enjoyed his company and comraderie whenever we played golf on Wednesday/Saturdays. It was only this year that we found that we shared the same April 11 birthday. I am greatly saddened by his swift departure and offer my deepest condolences to his entire family.

Our hearts and prayers go out to Mary and Steve's family and friends. Paul was stationed with Steve in the mid to late 70s while both were assigned to the 33rd Tactical Fighter Wing at Eglin AFB, FL. We were good friends back then and remained so today having played golf at Randolph AFB just three weeks ago during Steve and Mary's most recent visit to San Antonio, TX. Steve loved his family, friends and of course the Phillies. We will miss his smile and presence. RIP my long time friend and may God bless the Van Wert family.
